Politics

 This is not a political blog. Obviously, I have opinions, but I try to keep them to myself.  If I wrote a political blog, I can't imagine why anyone would want to read it.  I am not an expert or knowledgeable on these things. I might be wrong.  I might be right.  Or I might be somewhere in between.  This is not a political blog.

But, recent events have made me need to speak up. I largely sat on my hands through Black Lives Matter even though I see racism and white privilege as a real problem in my country. I tried to comment very little during the election, although I held very strong opinions. Probably I didn't fool anyone, but I tried to be vague in my opinions.  This is not a political blog.

But, I see recent events as a coup attempt.  In my country, lawful government was being attacked. There was an attempt to overthrow election results.  There is at very least a liar in the White House who claims falsely that he won the election. In my country there was an attempted coup.  I never thought I would see such a thing.  I hope that the rioters are hunted down one by one and charged to the fullest extent of the law.  I hope every single one of them goes to prison. I would include the liar in chief in that statement.

But, this is not a political blog.  I will attempt to sit on my hands through the rest of the events.  I pray never to see anything like that again. I pray for peace.  I pray for boring times when safety and security are the norm again. I pray for justice and peace to kiss. I pray in hope of a brighter tomorrow.

This is not a political blog.  I plan to go back to my usual grandma and memories and faith stuff. I pray for better days.
