Gerber Daisy

I have a potted gerber daisy.  I got it the year I moved into my house 3 years ago.  It has pink flowers and blooms only a couple of times each summer. They are beautiful flowers. I have brought it over the winter and kept it going. This summer the only blossom came on  the daisy late in the summer.  The rabbits, my adversaries, ate it before it fully bloomed.  I decided this year not to bring it in.  It wasn't worth it.

But, November came and I saw 3 buds coming up in that daisy.  So, I hauled it in. It is in my bathroom where there is the most light.  On my birthday, November 13, the three buds opened.  They were a gift from God, a Godwink, if you will. I am so thankful I brought in that daisy for one more winter.  It is a gift.

Less Words Wednesday--Blooming

The Christmas cactus on the top left has decided to bloom. Now. The African violets are making an effort also. Bloom where you are planted. And when, even if not at Christmas as expected.
