I got new glasses a few weeks ago. They are plastic and sort of light tan. They are different than my dark purple wire frames that I wore for a couple of years. They make my face look different. But, I can see better with these glasses, so I wear them all the time. They are my new look.
Getting new glasses is not much of a big deal. I have worn glasses since I was in the fifth grade. I have had scores of new glasses over the years. I think my first ones were that light blue that was so popular for kids in the 1960s. I have had dark glasses, light glasses, wire frames, rimless, and so many more. I wore contacts for a decade or so, but one of the lenses scratched my cornea and I had to quit. I like glasses.
The interesting thing to me was, the first and maybe only one who noticed my new glasses was my three year old grandson. He immediately said, "New glasses?" He wanted to touch them. He was fascinated. New glasses. My grandson is observant.
So, yes, I have new glasses, if anyone wants to know.
