Another April is in the books. A year ago I didn't think I would be alive to see this April. I do tend to look at the worst case scenario sometimes. Where last year April was just the beginning of a long isolation and learning to live in a new reality, this April is for most of us a time of re-awakening. It is a re-birth. Happily most of the people I know who were vaccine hesitant have gone ahead and gotten the jab. I am happy about that because I have lost a couple of folks to the virus and I would like to keep the rest of us.
April is a big birthday time in my family. I have a brother who turned 65 and a granddaughter who turned one in April. My brother who turned 65 has a son with an April birthday as well. I find it a neat symmetry that that April birthday nephew is the birthday anniversary of my grandpa, his great grandpa and also my grandparents wedding anniversary. And my own son's birthday not in April is the anniversary of my grandma's birthday, his great grandma. These boys were the first two grandchildren of my dad. And now this is just getting confusing. But, don't you sometimes find interesting coincidences in events and anniversaries?
April started out cold. March this year had no snow, but April did. April 10 is the usual last frost date, but we exceeded that this year. April is a changeable month.
And I apologize for this rambling pointless post. I am tired and this is largely a free-write. I will say, it is April and I have a tomato setting on my patio tomato plant. April, and a tomato!
