All powerful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, by water and the Holy Spirit you freed me from sin and gave me new life. Send your Holy Spirit upon me to be my helper and guide. Give me the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of right judgment and courage, the spirit of knowledge and reverence. Fill me with the spirit of wonder and awe in your presence. I ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
