Like many three year olds, my grandson loves cars and trucks. He drives them around the house and plays elaborate trash truck games with them. Trash trucks are his favorite, followed closely by mail trucks and all other delivery trucks. Cars are good too.
For most of his short life so far, trash trucks were the biggest most important truck that he watched weekly go up his street. He has formed a friendship with the trash truck driver who blows his horn and calls him Buddy. Mail trucks also came by often and delivered something. Grandson likes to play with his mail (we would call it junk mail). The family cars have not often left the garage. The garage door opening is a pretty big deal.
Lately Grandson is making his own garages. Perhaps that is an indicator that people are getting out more. Garage doors are opening. A cardboard box now devoid of snacks became a garage. The sheet on his bed also became a garage door with the bed playing the part of the garage. These garages are opening and people are going places again.
