A week ago I had some bad news. It doesn't really matter what the news was. It put a crimp in my plans. I was upset and dismayed. I was let down by someone else's lack of planning. I suggested a couple of things which were dismissed out of hand. I prayed. And I went home and prayed. And I prayed some more. And while the news made me feel let down and sad, I decided that I would accept whatever came. I would try to rectify the situation, but I would be at peace.
Then the very next day, God answered my prayers. I saw the people who had let me down and they had figured out a fix for the situation. If the plan holds, then things are not bleak, they are right on track. I do not think that this is a coincidence. I think this was an answer to prayer. Not every prayer is answered so quickly or directly. I can't answer why God does what He does. I am not God. But, I can be thankful for answered prayers and solutions to tough and thorny problems.
