My grandson isn't yet three, Aren't they cute at that age? He has begun to talk up a storm, but he is very hard to understand. I am with him every day and I have to admit that about half of what he says is difficult or impossible for me to understand. I think his mom understands him better, which is a good thing.
But some of those mispronunciations are so cute, I just want to remember them always. One thing he says is, "Zoo." He has repeated this over and over again. Until he followed it with, "I burped." I didn't get it. Excuse me. That is what he meant!
Another one that is disappearing, but I always want to remember is "Bibles." I would change his "bibles." He wore red, gray, black, blue bibles. Somehow "diapers" became "bibles." These days he can say diaper. But, in a few weeks the plan is to use pants and go potty. The bibles will go away. I will not miss them. I hope the potty learning is smooth and easy. Because I doubt that we will go back to "bibles."
