Time Keeps On...

I read somewhere that time is a gift from God.  Time was created when He created the heavens and the earth.  I try to remember that on days like this when getting up for work makes me feel 100 years old.  I am not a fan of the time change thing.  It is all great when I sleep an extra hour in the fall, but this springing forward thing is for the birds.

But what are the ways time is a gift?  I suppose life would just be one stagnant blob if time didn't move forward.  Time gives me a chance to change and to grow. Time means that life is finite.  Sometimes at a funeral or hearing of a death, the end doesn't seem like a gift.  But, think of eternity!  There must be something better out there.

Anyway, today I am groaning at the alarm clock.  Today time will seem to move slowly until I get home and then it will race to midnight before I am possibly ready.  I try to get to bed earlier, but while eleven is the latest, I fear seeing midnight this week.
