Tomorrow will be an historic inauguration. The first female vice president. Women have finally arrived. It took a long time to get to the front of the line. The oldest first term president. It took him a long time to get to the front of the line. An insurrection in the offing. A pandemic in progress. 25,000 National Guard Troops in the Capital. Many of them at the Capitol. I pray that nothing goes wrong. I pray that everything goes right.
One of the things the framers had right was the need for a peaceful transfer of power. If we have that, everybody wins. If we don't, everybody loses. I pray for peace. I pray that winners and losers can become Americans together.
