Easy Button

 I bet we all wish that there was an easy button when we are confronted by the problems in life, at least I wish that I had one.  Sometimes I wish that prayer was that easy button.  Pray and your problems will go away.  Wouldn't that be a great slogan?  But, it wouldn't be true, at least not in my lived experience.

Right now my biggest problem is small.  It would be smaller if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic and at the start of the winter heating season, but we are and it is.  My humidifier on my furnace appears to be leaking. It is after hours and things are closed.  This isn't an emergency, it is a problem.

I have placed a bucket under the leak and an old sheet on all the accumulated water.  I need to make sure it is the humidifier and not the hot water heater.  And I need to call the furnace people tomorrow.  They just turned that thing on.

Tonight, I pray for wisdom and guidance.  Protect me from worse consequences. But, I sure wish that I had an easy button to push and everything would be fixed.

Updated before this posted--I watched a video on how to turn off the humidifier. I turned it off.  I have  decided because I don't want people in my house fixing things I could do without this pandemic year, I will leave it off.  I found an easy button. Yay!
