My spiritual director started me on an in home retreat called Ascending With Ignatius. It is on YouTube and it is free. It was easy to find. It is an Ignatian retreat that you can do by yourself at home. Father T. made it for the time between Easter and Ascension, but I am doing it now and I don't find any content that doesn't make sense out of the intended time frame.
It was made especially for this time of pandemic when we are stuck at home and perhaps questioning God's love as we observe sickness and death and fear for our lives. In one of the early days of the 30 day retreat there is am image of God's love that sticks with me. I needed to have that image.
The films are short and easy to understand. They range from 5 to 25 minutes. I know that time is precious, even in this time when we aren't going as many places, and that was my objection. Do I have the time? But, I find that I do and I look forward to the question for the day. I have deepened my conversation with God.
