But when I looked out the window before the sun came up, imagine my surprise....
Clearly this is more than a dusting. This was SNOW!
This was a blanket of snow, 3 or 4 inches!
Our Lady of the Snows has Jesus protected under the snow.
The snow made an accent on the deck.
By afternoon it was already melting away.
The birdbath in the morning.
The birdbath in the afternoon.
We do our best around here to pile the snow up so that it lasts (Or maybe remove it from the parking lot.)
These kids had the right idea.
Dainty icicles hanging from the roof.
The robin's nest is empty of birds, but full of snow.
This was a beautiful gift in the middle of winter.

Mary, it is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I doubt I will see snow this year. It is getting past that time here in the PNW, and my little sweetie isn't really up for a drive up to the mountains to visit the snow. Good thing I have friends like you to share the experience.
