Jennifer Fulwiler hosts this meme. Go around visiting the rest.
1. I got my haircut on Saturday. Too short in back and too long in front. I wish I would plan ahead for a real hairstylist instead of those drop in places on Saturdays. I guess wishing won't make it happen. I have had worse haircuts. I will live and it will grow back, eventually.
2. It has been a very mild winter so far. Everybody makes comments about it. The checker at the grocery store made a chilling observation though. February is the snowiest month around these parts. We could still be in for a rough ride. Don't count the winter over out before it is hatched.
3. This past week Scholastic called about the book fair which will be coming in March. Not so many weeks away. Sigh. And March which is a whole month away promises to be very busy. There is the Magnificat prayer breakfast, the Charismatic Renewal Spring Conference with Dr. Ralph Martin, Spring Break, the Catholic Women for christ Conference and a couple of other things. Luckily, my Yayas women's group has elected not to meet in March.
4. I said "yes" to faith formation for a June retreat. I guess that means you will all be treated to samples of the formation that I do. The teaming should begin in March. (Didn't I say that was going to be a very busy month?) Yikes!
5. I have been asking the school secretary for a month whether the election would be held in my library in February. She made several queries and the answer seemed to be "no." That was until Thursday, when the election stuff arrived. Now it seems to be "yes." Yikes!
6. Anyway, I had my women's book study group on Wednesday. We are reading "The Mass." It is interesting, but I can't see much new stuff which is a good thing, I suppose. It would be kind of terrible to have been praying the Mass all these years and not to know what I was doing.
7. We went up to Alton, IL to see the bald eagles on the Mississippi last Sunday. They are magnificent birds.
