Sunday, last week, was a day with extra starch. I went to Mass in the morning. And you might think I would use starch on the clothing, but I am not an ironing gal. So, no starch there. But for lunch we went to McAllister's. I had the veggie chili and a turkey melt. A bit of starch in that meal. But, delicious starch.
Then hubby and I went over to see the movie Iron Lady about Margaret Thatcher. A strangely edited, difficult to follow movie in my estimation. But, that lady had starch. The most surprising part for me was to hear that she is still alive. Upon reflection, I realized that I have no memory of a funeral for her, but somehow I thought she had died long ago.
Hubby and I came home fully expecting to play on our computers and call our far flung relatives in the evening, but there was a call from friends suggesting a meal out. We met at a local Italian place. And that would be starch upon starch. But I had the catfish and a salad. Still, there was bread, so it was a starchy meal.
It seemed as though all the fun of the weekend was crammed into several hours with a movie and friends. Sometimes it is fun to have a day with an extra measure of starch.
