And the Day After the Day After Christmas

We drove home from Quincy in the rain.  It was rather nasty driving in the rain.  We dined at McDs and got home at a pretty good time.

Then in the morning, we awoke to a surprise.

It snowed! Quite a bit of snow!  If all the rain of the previous day had been snow, it would have been a big snow.

As it was, it was a pretty wet snow.

The tree out front seemed to be making its own snowballs.  (See the robin's nest? Robins aren't home.)

Snow has a way of cleaning up the brown winter landscape.

Our house looks cozy in the snow.  But, it all melted by noon.  And if you want my opinion, that was a good first, last and only snow of the winter.  I have ordered no more.

But, there is a lot of winter ahead and I will be very surprised if this is all the snow we see.
